FULL TIME
Position summary: Responsible for multiple functions in general ledger, accounts payable, materials management, payroll, and monthly financials for the Hospital and Total Family Healthcare.
Role qualifications:
- High school graduate
- 2 years comparable accounting experience and a bachelors degree in accounting.
Position responsibilities:
- Daily and monthly account balancing.
- Reconcile and record monthly rural health clinic activities.
- Calculate monthly accounts receivable allowances.
- Reconcile general ledger to supporting schedules and subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare monthly manual journal entries for prepaid expenses, allowances, payroll, withholdings, etc.
- Prepare month end worksheets and generate monthly financial statements.
- Update the fixed asset listing when items are purchased or disposed of. Process monthly depreciation and run monthly reports.
- Assist with annual financial statement audit and Medicare/Medicaid cost report preparation; prepare related schedules.
- Input yearly budget.
- Assist departments with charging issues as well as charge entry.
- Manage chargemaster for hospital and TFHC to comply with Price Transparency regulations.
- Manage monthly invoicing and payment for Specialty Clinics space rental.
- Work closely with materials management, accounts payable, payroll, and patient accounts areas to offer troubleshooting and training.
- Prepare quarterly physician RVU reports.
- Assist with payroll, as needed.
- Prepare various surveys/reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
