We are seeking a passionate Sales Engineer to join our team in the United States and take our sales and marketing approach to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process industries as well as a proven track record of driving sales and building strong client relationships.
Position Scope:
- Identify and qualify inbound and warm inquiries, and leads through research, networking, and outreach efforts.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting, product demonstration, proposal development, and negotiation to contract closure.
- Present, promote, and sell SAMSON Controls through product presentations and coordinated demonstrations with our team of engineers.
- Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements
- Maximize business opportunities and achieve revenue targets by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our partners, customers, and subsidiaries.
- Visit existing clients to evaluate needs, offer customer support, and give feedback to our engineers and management.
- Grow existing customer business by expanding the scope of existing installations or new installations within the same customer.
- Achieve the quarterly business plan/forecast aligned with sales objectives.
- Assessing and identifying new opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets.
- Day-to-day sales follow-up and forecast.
- Set ambitious revenue targets and create detailed plans to deliver, prioritizing efforts for maximum impact on customer and business outcomes.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term in accordance with targets.
- The territory for this position is based in the United States and will also support leads in Canada when required. As part of this job travel will be required. The ideal candidate will be expected to travel 50% of their time.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer, Technology, Business, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Field Sales of Control Valves within the manufacturing sector including the whole selling cycle: generating meetings with new/existing customers, presenting products, negotiation, close of sale.
- Experience with Operational Technology equipment and related software (DCS, Historians, HMI, MES).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Additional languages are an advantage.
