Assembler Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform all operations related to production, assembly and fabrication of mechanical components.
- Perform mechanical assembly, and subassemblies.
- Ensure all parts are made to engineering drawings and are suitable for final assembly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as assembler with 10 to 15 years of experience
- Experience with material handling equipment
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. power tools, drills, grinders, torque wrenches measuring devices)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work closely with a team of other assemblers/fabricators.
- Personal tools/toolbox will be required, personal tools damaged on the job will be replaced by the Supervisor.
- Crane Certification/Forklift Certification (not required but is a plus) in house training will be provided.
- Welding (not required but is a plus)
Working Conditions:
- 40 hours a week, day shift
- Overtime may be required
- PPE will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting required, generally between 5Ibs and 30Ibs, all items over 40Ibs will be done by crane.
