What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor (Part Time) position at San Diego Rescue Mission?

The Part time Janitor reports to the Director of Facilities and is a member of the San Diego Rescue Mission Facilities team. This person is responsible for facilitating a clean and safe work environment for both students and employees. The purpose of this job is to keep the Mission Facilities in a clean, orderly and functioning condition. Provide good customer service, and build good, strong, working relationships with the team and represent our Mission, Vision, and Values and continue to grow professionally and spiritually.

Education: Minimum high school diploma Experience: Minimum 6 months full-time work experience in janitorial or related field. Special License/Certification: None Travel/Transportation: The incumbent must travel on a regular (or periodic) basis, as the job requires. The incumbent must have reliable transportation (public transportation may be acceptable depending on the purpose of travel). If the incumbent receives authorization to use a Mission vehicle to perform duties, he or she must present a current California driver's license and good driving record in order to be placed on the Mission's insurance policy. Uniforms: The incumbent is expected to wear a Mission uniform daily. The Mission will provide the uniform at no cost to the incumbent. However, some uniforms must be laundered at the incumbent's expense. All uniforms must be maintained in a presentable condition.
