San Matteo Pizzeria, an acclaimed and bustling Italian restaurant located in the upper east side , is currently seeking a talented and experienced bartender to join our dedicated team. Position: Full-Time Experienced Bartender Location: San Matteo Pizzeria, San Matteo Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to San Matteo Pizzeria's standards and recipes
• Welcome and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of our beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers, and make recommendations to guests based on their preferences
• Handle cash transactions, operate the point-of-sale system, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times
• Collaborate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
• Adhere to all relevant food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment
• In-depth knowledge of mixology techniques, drink recipes, and beverage service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members effectively
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Certification in bartending or mixology is preferred but not required
