Responsibilities:
Responsible for the independent supervision of the delivery of care to a group of residents in a nursing unit. Assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for residents
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document resident progress and any changes in their condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Educate residents and their families about their health status, treatment plans and disease management
- Ensure that all nursing interventions are carried out in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient computer skills
