Key Responsibilities
Maintain and create Bills of Materials for forecasted and sold rig orders. Process change orders for rigs. The BOM Specialist also participates in BOM development activities and systems development projects.
Additional responsibilities for the BOM Specialist
- Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) and forecasts
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management and Sales Support aligning sales options with master list requirements
- Analyze change orders to determine detailed material requirements, understand cost impact of changing BOMs as well as impact on production and other stake holders
- Assist Planning team with scheduling, work order allocations, inventory control analysis and other projects related to Planning
- Provide demonstrated capability to work collaboratively and cross-organizationally and be skilled in developing and maintaining key customer and stakeholder relationships
- Create and maintain processes related to BOM Specialist and Planning roles
- Comply with policies, guidelines, regulatory requirements and meet objectives per Sandvik Alachua
- Engage with other teams and Departments teams to proactively resolve issues and problem solve
- Demonstrate respect and commitment to the IMS System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & OHSAS 18001) taking accountability for its effectiveness and continual improvement.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and experience with BOM structures, manufacturing processes, material planning processes and work order structures. Proficiency with MS Office applications. Able to communicate effectively with a broad range of professionals at all levels of the organization both verbally and written. You are a self-propelled worker who can take initiative, focus on details while working on multiple priorities. You can work both collaboratively and independently.
