Special Events Officer

We are currently seeking experienced and highly skilled individuals to join our team as Special Events Officers. The ideal candidate will hold the necessary licenses issued by the State of Utah to carry a weapon for the purpose of carrying out general security duties, which include the protection of individuals and/or property.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce access control policies and procedures.
• Greet, check-in, screen, direct, and escort employees, tenants, visitors, and vendors.
• Recognize and respond to security threats, active shooter situations, and breaches.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms, power outages, and medical emergencies.
• Maintain good general health without any conditions that would interfere with the performance of normal duties.
• Stand or walk for an entire shift.
• Climb stairs or ladders.
• Lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Read, write, and converse proficiently in the English language.
• Maintain professional behavior, attitude, and demeanor, treating customers and clients respectfully.
• Pass industry-standard criminal background checks, including fingerprint checks, criminal records checks, sex offender registration records checks, immigration status checks, and drug screenings at the Contractor's expense.
• Have the required years of experience providing security services as determined by the Eligible user and/or this Contract.
• Pass an annual performance evaluation conducted by the Security Supervisor, demonstrating the ability to perform duties effectively.
• Maintain compliance with all licensure and certification requirements as required under Utah Code Annotated §58-63-302 and §58-63-302.1, local or municipal ordinances, and Utah DOPL Security Personnel Licensing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience providing general security services and two (2) years of experience as a post certified security officer.
• Valid license issued by the State of Utah. Code Annotated §58-63-302 and §58-63-302.1.
• Have valid State of Utah Driver's License.
• Ability to maintain good general health and physical fitness.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
• Professional demeanor and respectful attitude towards customers and clients.
