What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN Nurse position at Sansum Clinic?
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will be expected to assist with patient flow, monitor patient arrival, escort patients to the exam room, assist patients in preparing for exams and advise physicians when a patient is ready. Other duties will include answering phones, fielding inquiries and directing triage calls to appropriate personnel. The LVN provides in-office, patient care services that may include obtaining patient histories, vital signs, genetic testing, administering vaccines/medications and educating patients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have a valid license in the State of California as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with IV Therapy certification.
- Current CPR certification at time of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or dually certified in both AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- New graduates are welcome however a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years LVN experience in a clinic setting is preferred.
