We are looking for a confident, self-motivated technician for a lead position. Our ideal leader will have the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks and supervise other team members while still fulfilling technician duties.

Candidates should have no less than 3 years’ experience working as a technician. Veterinary technician certification is preferred but not required.

Applicants should be proficient in all technical aspects including:

· IV catheter placement, venipuncture, intubation, safe anesthesia monitoring, and dental procedures including dental x-rays

· Understanding of appropriate vaccine and medication administration and dispensing procedures

· Specimen collection, laboratory procedures, estimate preparation, radiology, appropriate vaccine and medication administration and dispensing processes

· Animal husbandry and patient comfort and care.

· Cleaning and disinfection

· Client Communication

As the lead technician additional tasks will include but not be limited to:

· Weekly technician scheduling

· Controlled substance management and log

· Ordering supplies in appropriate quantities and in a timely manner.

· Training of other technicians and new hires by mentoring, coaching and empowering

· Ensuring a smooth efficient workflow for the clinic on a daily basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:
