What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workforce Coach position at Santa Maria Community Services, Inc.?
Essential Functions
Maintain a caseload of 45 participants and assist them in achieving their educational, career, and financial goals while removing barriers. Maintain a minimum monthly in person contacts with participants for an average of 10 contacts a week and document in case notes. Record participant progress toward goals in all required databases and program documents within 7 days of contact. Conduct screenings and assessments based on program requirements. Provide internal and external referrals for services. Maintain working knowledge of SMCS programs to successfully navigate connections through the family-centered care model and provide outreach to community and families. Adhere to agency policy, procedures, and the professional code of ethics. Participate in relevant training opportunities for professional growth and development. Participate and contribute to regular staff meetings and supervisory sessions. Satisfactorily complete any other special assignments as requested by supervisor.

Evidence of high level of motivation, initiative, perseverance, and independent judgement. Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities. Proven ability to establish and maintain ongoing professional relationships with program participants, team members, and partner agencies. Ability to support individuals and families through crises towards self-sufficiency. Ability to motivate others to achieve their goals, experience with strength-based assessment, the family coaching model, and a trauma informed approach. A strong sense of respect for confidentiality involving participants and fellow employees. Excellent technology skills, knowledge of and proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems logically and methodically. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well independently or in a group and excellent time management skills. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Spanish fluency preferred.

Education and Minimum Qualifications
One year related service experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field. Spanish Fluency.
