Role Overview
The Strategic Energy Specialist is the Solutions Strategy team's front line. This valuable member of the team will be the dedicated energy and facilities expert for one or more of our Fortune 500 clients, tasked with evaluating customer energy data to provide actionable optimization strategies. The SES must develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of a client's facilities and become an expert in their processes and policies.
The SES is an experienced energy auditor with a deep understanding of building systems and components. The SES is also conversant with all the most common energy efficiency tactics and devices.
The SES will also be a power user of the Sapient platform and play a critical role in helping identify product innovations and new applications of Sapient's foundational technology to solve client objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and organize high-resolution facility energy data.
- Identify and surface anomalous conditions.
- Provide inferences and suggestions about operating conditions contributing to anomalies.
- Generate scopes for remediation.
- Produce regular reports for customer success team that illuminate optimization opportunities for clients.
- Assist CS team with presentations and meetings.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in energy auditing, providing advice to clients or organizations. Experience must include non-lighting projects.
- Strong foundational and demonstrable understanding of commercial and industrial building systems and electrical/mechanical design concepts.
- Experience with and knowledge of BAS, BMS and EMS systems
- Creative and dynamic thinker, able to see opportunities and articulate them
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Competence with Google and/or Microsoft spreadsheet, presentation, and word-processing software.
- Willingness to travel regularly (25%)
