Job Posting for Employment Specialist - Help others find their job at Saratoga Bridges

Did you know that the unemployment rate for a person with disabilities is almost 3 times higher than the average New Yorker? You can help change that by helping people with developmental disabilities (DD) find a job and learn how to do it successfully.

You’ll work with the individual to find out their job skills and employment interests. You aid the person with job applications and preparing for interviews. You’ll visit worksites and instruct the person on how to do their job. You’ll work with the person and their employer to ensure that things run smoothly.

To be qualified for this position, you must have,

  • Driver's license and vehicle
  • Associate degree in a human service field and 1 year of experience working with people with a DD.   Or
  • High school diploma and 2 years’ experience working with people with a DD.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
