Job Description

The Perry Local School District has an elementary counselor vacancy effective at the beginning of the 2023-2024 contract year. Perry Elementary School consists of grades K-6 and is housed in a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity for 500 students. Reports to: Building Principal with Superintendent Guidance

Description: Responsible for the development and implementation of the elementary school guidance program; assist and support students with concerns and/or problems; serve as a resource for students, parents, and staff; duties as assigned by district leadership

Job Requirements

• Qualifications:
  
  • Master's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university
  • Appropriate state of Ohio certifications/license
  • Successful experience with behavior modification and PBIS (preferred)
  • One to two years of related experience (preferred)
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate
  (Allowable substitutions: any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that would provide the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work and to meet certification requirements, may be allowed at the Superintendent’s discretion.)
  
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
• Master degree preferred
