Enterprise Solution Architect

Remote work option on Mondays and Fridays

The Enterprise Solution Architect provides technology leadership to executive sponsors, product owners, and cross-functional technology delivery teams. This role is responsible for collaboratively describing what should be done and how it should be done using business technology strategies and roadmaps.

You work with the larger architectural community to advance the architecture craft within Sargento and develop the Sargento technology strategy in line with our business strategy.

What You Do.

• Keep up to date with emerging technology trends, evaluate, and recommend for inclusion in architectural roadmaps and enterprise solutions
• Assist executive sponsors with lean business cases and enterprise solutions to specific business problems and issues across teams
• Coach, advise, and guide executive sponsors and product owners in how information and technology can help them meet their goals
• Facilitate assessment and maintenance of business capabilities for maturity, priority, and risk impact
• Collaborate with the broader architecture community to ensure that their solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmaps
• Assess vendors
• Understand and advocate Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles and be prepared to sell the EA process
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps taking focus areas from current to future state
• Manage and continuously improve the design and implementation of Solution Architecture processes and artifacts
• Ensure decisions around solution architecture are made and deviations from standards are properly identified, addressed, and communicated. Escalates to the EA steering committee if needed
• Evaluate design approaches, make architectural recommendations, and implement improvements to reference architectures
• Ensure the architecture repository is current in all domains: business, application, information, and technology for assigned focus areas

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. Responsible for providing solution direction to cross-functional technology team members.

Your Education and Experience.

• Bachelor’s in computer science and information, engineering or related field
• 5 years of architecture design and implementation experience in front-office or back-office solutions, and/or emerging or enabling technologies (i.e., IT automation, digital workplace, compute infrastructure)
• Strong background in application and solution development

ARCHITECTURE SKILLS - Ability to understand the long-term and short-term perspectives of situations from the business and technology perspective. Ability to define multiple solution options to business problems and present as options to executive sponsors and product owners. Ability to translate business needs into solution requirements and estimate the financial impact (TCO and value impact) of solution alternatives. Basic knowledge of business process re-engineering and information principles. Understanding of XaaS, application development, and infrastructure components currently available and emerging trends.
