Position: Help Desk Technical Support 3

Location: Newport News, VA

Duration: 6 Months

First Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Number of Positions: 6

This position is needed for the Support MT Service Desk
The hiring manager is looking for:
-Customer service.
-Call center.
-Technical support (Windows).

Description: - Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems. Diagnoses, identifies, isolates, and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records. - May route calls to product line specialists. - Maintains and updates records and tracking databases. - Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems. - AA or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline and 3 years of related experience. - Equivalency: Associate’s Degree and 3 years of experience. A relevant professional certificate can be substituted for an Associate's Degree.

Special Requirements:
The shift will include weekend rotations, mostly remote. The start date will not be sooner than 9/3/2024.

- Experience supporting many applications including MS Office products, O365, VPN apps. and many other business and engineering applications.

- Experience doing technical support over the telephone and/or in chat.

- Experience with troubleshooting Windows clients.

- Experience working remotely.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.62 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
