SAS Data Retrieval’s Court Record Analyst’s primary role is to own the order management process end to end for specific counties and compose criminal reports. The ideal candidate is communicative, analytical, detail oriented, technologically savvy and loves problem solving. We need you to help come up with creating solutions, adopt and suggest improvements on new processes, support training, and think proactively about your work. In our dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, self management (emotional regulation, organization, etc) is important. The ideal candidate is able to communicate directly, objectively and non-judgmentally in order to resolve problems collaboratively. They should have strong oral and written communication skills and not be afraid to ask questions. This is an office-based M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm position. After successfully completing 90 days of employment in this role, your schedule may be switched to a 4x10 work week, depending on company needs. Flexibility to work a 4x10 schedule is a requirement for this position.

What You’ll Do as a Court Record Analyst:

This position involves three core functions - searching names by sending out orders or checking online databases [this may include exporting to excel to manipulate the data according to clerk requirements], receiving and uploading results using a mix of excel / google sheets, word / google docs, google drive or directly entering results in an online database, and following up on orders by emailing and calling clerks. Specifically, you are responsible for:

  • Assisting with inventory and office set up / close down as needed
  • Answering telephone calls and emails from customers, clerks, and clients and directing them to relevant staff
  • Answering questions from peers in a timely manner via Slack, email, phone calls, or in person
  • Sending and receiving mail, faxes, and emails following standard procedures
  • Reading and comprehending legal terminology [training will be provided]
  • Efficiently conducting criminal and civil records research carefully following client’s instructions
  • Accurate analysis and reporting of searched results from online access systems into an online platform or client’s online portal
  • Collaborating with court clerks to obtain accurate data and clarify inquiries into results
  • Requesting and analyzing physical case file documents
  • Keeping an open line of communication with the team and researchers
  • Contacting researchers to request missing information, estimated completion time (ETAs), and work-related clarification
  • Following up on results and updating ETAs of overdue work in platform
  • Support in the creation and maintenance instructional documents for assigned areas
  • Training new analysts in your areas of expertise
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
  • Assisting with reporting for company-wide meetings

Qualifications and Needed Skills

● Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university [or equivalent experience experience]

● Effective oral and written communication skills● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

● Physical demands include ability to lift up to 20 lbs; standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing. Typing on a keyboard, using a mouse for extended periods of time.

● The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time

● Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Suite

● Analytical and problem-solving skills

● Strong ability to multitask

● Ability to adapt to different computer operating systems as needed [Mac & Windows]

● Must possess strong Attention to Detail

Compensation & Perks

● Starting rate: $18 - $20 per hour
