JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for global marketing and communications efforts. These duties encompass a broad scope of brand development and content for our digital footprint to ensure coordination and consistency of message across the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working in partnership with Product Marketing and Sales, construct, implement and manage multi-layered marketing campaigns in support of multiple SD products and services to reach defined customer demographic
  • Manage and lead SD’s complete digital marketing footprint including but not limited to, website(s), SEO, paid media support, email marketing, content development and social media.
  • Develop paid media strategy and direct advertising spend accordingly to amplify SD marketing efforts. Manage multi-facet paid media budget encompassing print, SEO and digital support
  • Manage multi-platform content creation from ideation to completion and instill KPIs to measure success and lessons learned. Manage marketing content libraries (WordPress media library, collateral portal, Dropbox, )
  • Create and implement robust internal reporting mechanisms to communicate relevant corporate news to international employee audience and ensure consistency of message with development and ongoing management of SD ‘One Voice’ messaging matrix
  • Develop & maintain an understanding of overall digital trends combined with deep insights into customers’ needs &online user / brand experience
  • Manage and lead brand reporting analytics (utilizing tools such as Google Analytics) to define SD brand score card, report to Executive Leadership Team and orchestrate feedback loop with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Maintain and develop social media and communications policies
  • Collaborate with department spokespeople for internal and external communications
  • Develop media coverage reports and decks based on SD’s earned media and social media
  • Editorial and design guidance for digital marketing and communications
  • Shape strategic communications plans and storytelling approach
  • Some domestic and international travel to support marketing campaigns and event appearances as required
  • Other duties assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

  • High degree of knowledge about the principles of integrated digital marketing
  • Expert understanding of digital marketing disciplines, including website design, SEO, SEM, social media and relevant analytical tools (i.e. Google Analytics)
  • Able to balance leadership and collaborative mindset - must be able to perform independently and in an international team environment
  • Strong project management skills with ability to balance competing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative flair - honed ability to comprehend complex subject matters and translate it into consumable and relatable content for multiple audiences
  • Rounded understanding of holistic marketing strategies, tactics and vehicles underpinned by a passion for marketing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across different levels of an organization
  • Ability to drive self-directed initiatives and proactively identify when it's necessary to take certain steps and move ahead with confidence
  • Ability to articulate measurable successes

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ in a corporate marketing and communications department, with a focus on digital marketing
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing disciplines
  • Strong experience in project management while coordinating international teams
  • Aerospace industry or technology-related industry knowledge

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening and reading, able to lift light objects (<25lbs), and use standard office equipment such as computer, printer, phone and cell phone. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist or stoop in order to open/close cabinets, reach for files or other standard office type objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The office environment is generally quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due to others talking or laughing loudly, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their particular duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company/department needs, project requirements or customer demands. Some overnight travel is required to facilitate work objectives both domestically and internationally for trade shows and other events. While at client site locations, if applicable, employee will be required to adhere to the proper safety precautions established by the client while in proximity to their work area, flight-line or maintenance repair center; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. The temperature at client locations can vary from controlled to variations off hot/cold when working, standing or walking in or near the flight-line or maintenance repair center.
