DATA INTEGRATION SPECIALIST
Job Description: Entry Level IT Analyst & Classroom Resource Coordinator
Summary
Sault Area Public Schools seek an entry level IT Analyst & Classroom Coordinator. This role is responsible for managing computer applications that are focused on student learning and school operations. In addition, they will coordinate the daily recruitment of substitute teachers, as well as managing textbook inventory and the tracking of professional development. A successful candidate will have a technical mindset and soft skills to work within a k-12 educational organization.
Minimum Preferential Qualifications
- Associate degree in Technology or Business. Or a combination of experience with applicable technical or business certifications.
- Two years of experience managing software applications preferably within education and/or office environments.
- Proficiency and accuracy with computer software programs, office procedures, and inventory management.
- Proven experience working on large datasets with integration across multiple applications and services.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and make decisions independently.
- Demonstrated people skills and the ability to communicate effectively whether in-person or digital.
- Other such qualifications as deemed appropriate by the district.
Technical Duties
- Application Administration: Maintain and optimize education-based applications for student learning and school operations.
- Data Integration: Import, export, and automate data between systems. Clean, map, and reformat data as needed.
- Technical Support: Provide first-level support for technology related issues, including troubleshooting application problems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for technology processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- User Training: Assist in training end-users on new technologies and systems.
Operational Duties
- Make daily calls to substitute teachers and assign their class locations across the school district.
- Coordinate and track the progress of professional development for teachers.
- Assist with audits of state and federal programs.
- Manages logistics for students enrolled in online based education (i.e. Virtual Blue).
- Order, maintain, and distribute district inventory of curriculum materials.
- Operate the front desk during summer school.
- Collaborate with leadership, technical teams, and HR personnel to accurately track staff record keeping.
- Maintain confidentiality, both verbally and in written form.
- Other duties as assigned by the district.
Terms of Employment
12 Months per year
Eight (8) hours per day (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m./ 30-minute lunch)
