We now have an excellent opportunity for an individual with a positive approach to service the needs of our residents to join our team as a Concierge.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as a liaison for residents and families during the pre-admission and admission process. Communicates with all residents, their families and guests as well as volunteers and staff to gain understanding about the needs of residents and their loved ones in order to successfully service those needs with the support of volunteers and staff.

Assists residents and families in adapting to their new environment by introducing them to facilities services and programs such as therapeutic recreation and dining services.

Prepares identification records for residents in accordance with the facility's established policies and procedures. Provide, review and explain to the resident, family or guardian Admission paperwork and policies.

Verify all insurance information and obtain insurance authorizations when required. Collect, assemble and check admission paperwork.

Complete the Admission Agreement Log per facility requirement, Maintain 401 form compliance.

Assists the Admissions Director with a wide range of tasks which could include marketing the facility, giving facility tours, preparing admissions packets, completion of admissions paperwork, resident room identification etc.

May also have the opportunity to participate in working with referral sources, hospital social workers and the interdisciplinary team to identify potential admissions and discharges.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience providing excellent customer services to all facility customers.

Experience working in a long-term care facility is required as is Familiarity with medical terminology. Admission Coordination experience preferred.

Must have effective coordination and organization skills along with computer proficiency.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, interpersonal skills, a sense of initiative and a keen attention to detail.
