- Operation of the drum-un-heading equipment, including a Hahn & Clay device
- Operation of the DCU Coke Cutting (decoking) Equipment
- Operation of the DCU Overhead Bridge Crane for coke movement and load out

- Operation of a large overhead bridge crane
- Loading, unloading, and indexing of railcars
- Loading coke into barges by operating barge haul system, loading chute, and associated conveyors
- Operation of a locomotive and coordinate/perform rail switching activities
- Complete and maintain required daily inspection/PM paperwork
- Complete minor Preventive Maintenance services on customer and company owned equipment
- Assist Maintenance personnel, as needed
- Be physically able to handle large tools, safely climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend ladders, and should not have a fear of heights
- Perform general cleanup of entire DCU and Load-out Shed including, but not limited to,
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Must understand and abide by all safety rules in place by both Savage and the customer
- Maintain good relations and open communication with coworkers and management via radio and other proper means
- Refinery or Industrial Plant Operations: experience with high safety standards and regulations associated with hazardous industrial plant environments
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to climb ladders/steps and work at elevated heights
- Must be able to stand, stoop and crawl
- Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently
