Job Duties
- Welcomes and greets patients as they walk in through the door.
- Keep patients updated on their wait time and offers water/coffee.
- Answer all calls throughout the day in a professional manner and directs calls to the appropriate staff member.
- Place calls to pharmacies to update or cancel patient Rx.
- Set a healing environment slideshow on TV in lobby area and set up for treatments for the day.
- Check and print service schedule roster for patients to reference at display.
- Enrollment of new patients – thoroughly explaining the program treatments and attendance requirements. (Offer transportation for check insurance eligibility, capture photo, add patient to profile, enter demographics).
- Warmly welcome patient at time of check-in. Check-in all patients in EHR & obtain vitals (COVID screening, blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pain levels).
- Update patient information (address, phone number).
- Capture/upload patient photos (face only) into EHR.
- Provide stellar customer service when assisting patient in creating one month schedule. (Any scheduling conflicts/questions freely direct to supervisor).
- Ensure patients always have a once-a-month medical check-up and scheduling evaluation for research, HBA1C and UDS collection.
- Provide all patients with name tag.
- Remove patient name from sign in sheet after signing in (HIPPA).
- Medical check-up days: forefront in morning/regulate flow in afternoon.
- Print CURES reports prior for phase 1 day and medical day prior.
- Input patient insurance authorizations into Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and HIPAA protocols.
- Upholds company vision and value.
- Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Medical Assistant license (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong proficiency in medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient use of fax and scanning machines.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
