What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baking Assistant position at Savor Patisserie?
Savor Patisserie French Macarons, a Garland based woman-owned company, is looking for a positive, enthusiastic, reliable person to bake and package our French macarons and meringues. This position involves high volume execution. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are extremely important. We are searching for workers to join our team who can excel in our fast-paced, high performing, team-oriented environment. No macaron baking experience is required as we teach everything from start to finish. Come grow with us and join our fun, dedicated team today! You can expect approximately 26 - 30 hours per week and we bake and package Mondays through Thursdays with the occasional Friday added in when needed.
Requirements:
- Must be reliable
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and be on your feet for the duration of a shift
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality control
- Ability to use and maintain baking equipment such as ovens and mixers
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing and mixing
- Must adhere to health and safety standards, this includes but not limited to using a hairnet, gloves and protective baking coat.
- Responsible for following recipes and production guidelines to prepare baked goods
- Maintains positive demeanor towards management and co-workers
