This position is responsible for creating a customer base and developing strong relationships with new and existing customer. Sales professionals with b-2-b experience in the HVAC, elevator, integrated security, copier, or other service-oriented industries could be successful in this position. Also, sales professionals with a strong understanding and client relationships in vertical markets such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals will be considered. Customers are primarily located in the MD/DC corridor as well as southern PA. You will work from your home and self-direct your daily sales activities with ample support and direction as needed.
Compensation commensurate with experience, with a mid-range salary of $75,000 plus performance-based commissions.
Essential Sales Functions:
- Increase and maintain profitable sales by working with prospects and customers to identify their needs and overcome objections through the appropriate application of the sales process and company products and services.
- Create targeted and effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections in an effective and responsible manner. Aggressively manage proposals to close sales.
- Survey mechanical systems and interpret drawings, equipment and job conditions.
- Redeem annual booking plan in assigned markets and territory at company-approved pricing standards.
- Increase existing customer maintenance coverage and/or other services by maintaining ongoing relationships and insuring customer satisfaction.
- Build rapport and positive working relationships with office staff, field personnel and management.
- Incorporate a team-building philosophy into all company relations.
Technical Skills & Attributes:
- Two (2) years of business-to-business sales experience.
- Experience in selling contract services and/or technical sales, a plus.
- Professional, dynamic presence and ability to communicate with people of all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal skills at technical and professional level.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with quotas and goals.
- Keen intelligence and negotiation skills.
- Basic computer skills.
