Summary /Objective
As a Registered Nurse/LVN, you will contribute to the patient experience from start to finish. This role demands multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Your role will be to provide nursing services, training, and support to address the medical and / or psychiatric needs of patients with brain injuries, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorder, and/or has an emotional or behavioral disability.

Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and can handle stressful situations. This position requires team participation skills and a problem-solving attitude. You will have an opportunity to earn a Sign on Bonus of $2,000.00 for a FT position.
Essential Functions
- Conduct assessments, implement health care plans, and respond to changes of condition.
- Communicate with the physician and external medical centers to ensure consistency of essential medical information.
- Provide medical treatment prescribed by physician’s orders and personal care services.
- Monitor and ensure physicians orders are documented and carried out as prescribed.
- Provide technical assistance, medical oversight, and training of staff to ensure the effective implementation of all related services.
- Provide input regarding health care services to be included in each individual’s service plan.
- Serve as an advocate and liaison with other medical and ancillary service providers including coordination of services to ensure consistent treatment with external agencies.
- Moving patients safely.
- Observing patient reactions to medications.
- Observing patient mental health status.
- Providing emotional support.
Qualifications
- Valid CA RN license
- Great people skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients, and families
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent assessment skills
- Effective communication skills

- Candidate must have strong analytical and clinical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the – ability to communicate with team members, medical professionals, those we serve, and their families.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing or LVN training program.
- Demonstrates professional competence and clinical reasoning in assessing patient's condition at the onset and through all phases of care with the ability to exercise critical thinking in the clinical environment.
- Candidate must have strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ensure HIPPA compliance. Understanding and always ensure the concepts of universal precautions and OSHA certified.
