Life Insurance Specialist Sales Agent
The LIS Sales Agent will be responsible for generating high quality clients and revenue by protecting families and businesses through life insurance. You will be a non-commissioned employee without having to spend money on leads, licensing, continuing education, or case management. Your main priority will be to generate new business (applications) for SBLI Direct Sales through SBLI-produced new prospects and existing clients. This is mainly completed over the phone, but can also be done through text, email and chat. Once applications are received in underwriting, the LIS Agent will assist in getting applications successfully processed as issued and paid policies. They will work with our internal departments and consumers to complete this process.
Responsibilities include:
1. Be actively logged into our dialer/telephony system to make outbound calls to new leads/prospects, while also receiving inbound sales calls. This is your main focus throughout the day. These are not cold calls. Anyone you would be speaking to is someone who has engaged SBLI through our website or some other means to learn about our products, get an accurate quote, or start an application.
2. Engage in active listening to conduct a needs analysis and personal interview to ensure consumers are purchasing products that meet their needs and eligibility requirements. Be an advisor to the consumer, challenging assumptions to help them get the protection they need.
3. Engage with digital shoppers in real time using Click to Chat or Click to Video.
4. Accelerate and enhance the shoppers’ purchase journey by providing information on: SBLI products, best practices for defining basic coverage needs, the difference between whole life and term life insurance, how the decision process works at SBLI, and how to efficiently navigate the application process.
5. Appropriately follow up on all leads, applications, and policies.
6. Fully document all interactions and accurately set follow-ups matching consumer expectations.
7. Understand KPIs and make adjustments necessary to achieve success.
Requirements:
- Active Life Insurance License
- Telesales experience preferred

- Open office environment in our Life Insurance Solutions Center in Woburn, MA. Would consider fully remote candidate.
- Ability to work schedule of 37.5 hours per week with limited overtime including some evening and possible weekend hours. Shifts can be flexible depending on availability, but requires 7.5 hours per day. Shifts available: 10 AM - 6 PM, 11 AM - 7 PM, 12 PM - 8 PM.
