Our facility offers a 12-bed detox program, and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team.
Job Description: As an LVN at our detox center, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to clients during their detoxification process. You will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, conducting health assessments, and ensuring the overall well-being of clients throughout their stay. Experience in detox care and proficiency in using the KIPU system are encouraged for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Monitor and document clients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress during the detoxification process.
- Conduct health assessments and provide basic nursing care to clients.
- Collaborate with the medical and clinical teams to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using the KIPU system.
- Create a supportive and safe environment for clients during their detoxification journey.
Requirements:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a valid and active California license.
- Specific experience in a detox setting and familiarity with detox protocols.
- Proficiency in using the KIPU system for recordkeeping and documentation. (KIPU training provided)
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle medical emergencies.
- Empathy and understanding of clients' needs during the detox process.
Population: The LVN will primarily work with clients aged 25 to 45 years old who are undergoing the detoxification process.
