CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
$82,000 - $140,000
This role is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of new facilities construction projects, facilities improvement projects and strategic planning of office and production space. You will work with the facilities and operations teams and external partners such as general contractors, subcontractors, and local government or regulatory agencies.
What You Will Do
  • Manage, coordinate, and be a liaison to new construction projects and maintenance operations at the SCEYE manufacturing and launch facilities.
  • Coordinate facilities projects to ensure contractors meet SCEYE standards while delivering promised services, materials, and craftsmanship.
  • Work with urgency to ensure minimal interruption to launch operations.
  • Improve process planning by which construction projects are formulated, priced, approved, executed and reviewed – full lifecycle improvements with the goal of providing on-time and under budget delivery with customer satisfaction. The following construction project management responsibilities are applicable:
    • Manage tools and folder systems relating to new construction or renovation projects.
    • Provide budgetary cost based upon the preliminary scope of the project.
    • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules and request for proposal (RFP) documents for contractors.
    • Gather proposals from architects, engineers and contractors; assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals.
    • Develop the final cost and schedule for the project, and implement controls as needed to manage cost, schedule and scope.
    • Facilitate city, county, and governmental approvals.
    • Coordinate project implementation and track project status.
    • Work with the end user and partners in order to operationalize the post-construction building operations and maintenance functions.
    • Coordinate with end user and facilities and operations teams
  • Develop tools and approach to supporting the space allocation and adjudication process across the enterprise.
  • Take on new projects ad-hoc as the business needs.
What You Need
  • 10 years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, and new construction management.
  • 5 years of professional experience with facility design software and tools (ex. Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCad, BIM 360, Navisworks).
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic facilities planning for a manufacturing facility.
  • Construction cost estimate experience.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and calculations; ability to mark up and highlight coordination items.
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently and effectively manage projects in an extremely fast paced and changing environment.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite tools and PDF editor software such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat,

FAA Rules and regulations regarding construction.
  • A Contractors license for the state of New Mexico is highly desired.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
