Job Summary:
The Night Auditor at Schahet Hotels in Indianapolis, Indiana is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s overnight operations and ensuring guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. This individual contributor role is a full-time hourly position and reports directly to the hotel manager. The Night Auditor will work overnight shifts and must have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Night Auditor position at Schahet Hotels offers a competitive hourly rate of $14 to $15 per hour. Responsibilities:
• Conduct efficient and thorough front desk and accounting procedures during overnight shifts.
• Greet and check-in guests, as well as assist with any guest requests during their stay.
• Balance and close the day’s transactions and complete necessary reports.
• Respond to guest concerns in a timely and professional manner and make appropriate decisions to resolve the issue.
• Check and maintain the accuracy of room reservations, room availability, and room rates.
• Ensure all cash, credit card, and other transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Manage phone calls and reservations during overnight hours.
• Perform regular security checks throughout the hotel premises.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by the hotel manager.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hotel front desk or accounting role preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using computers and various hotel reservation systems.
• Able to work independently and efficiently during overnight shifts.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
