What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Technician position at Schlotterbeck & Foss?
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Tech is responsible for maintaining the flow and accuracy of inventory information through the performance and/or oversight of a series of processes, controls, and ERP functionality from receipt to ship. These activities includes, but are not limited to, the completion of inventory records; production and sales, auditing and performing cycle counts, as well as other various reporting requirements to assist the company in monitoring progress. The activities may require some weekend and/or non-standard work hours. .
Essential Functions:
1. Perform daily cycle counts.
2. Make item adjustments within the ERP system utilizing reason codes, lots, and quantity.
3. Manage RMA inventory, such as bad labels, moldy drums, etc. Put inventory on system holds if necessary.
4. Support and close 3rd Party Shipments of Customer orders.
5. Organize the ingredients for the production department.
6. Assist with audits with regards to financial test counts.
7. Research discrepancies.
8. Manage the dairy raw materials by verifying lot code expirations are accurate. (WB plant)
9. Be responsible for gathering, disposing and adjust out obsolete or expired inventory.
10. Perform audits on purchase order receipts; specifically, with unit of measure conversions.
11. Perform customer shipment audits. Review accuracy of outbound picking in relation to system generated pick tickets.
12. Audit transfers between warehouses.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with ERP systems as they relate to production and inventory environments, as well as working knowledge of Excel.
- Able to make quick and timely decisions and use good judgment in a busy work environment, in an organized manner according to changing priorities.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have demonstrated dependability, work ethic and flexibility and be able to cooperate with and support other team members.
- Must have good interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be fluent in English (reading and writing).

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
