Regional Manager (RM) is the business leader for the region and works closely with the Engineering Manager who provides technical leadership. The RM will be a direct manager to the Area Managers, Principals and senior staff. The primary focus of the RM is around strategy development and talent development, project implementation, change management, sales enablement, the region’s P&L and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The RM is accountable that all HR functions are completed and works with the Engineering Manager, Area Managers and Principals to develop and implement hiring strategies. The RM is accountable that all safety audits for the region are completed and will be responsible for safety incident investigations. The RM is accountable for coordinating the overall sales strategy with the PCS and the sales organizations and oversees new offer incubation and creation. The RM delivers shipments forecast, cost / revenue alignment, and monthly business reviews. The RM ensures customer satisfaction, handles regional escalations, and puts improvement processes in place to set a high standard for customer delivery excellence. Typical Responsibilities: - Talent functions including- Talent development and retention planning - Goal setting by role and grade - Performance Reviews - Coaching/Correcting/Performance Plans - Dealing with visa requirements - Performance improvement plans - Maintaining a focus on Diversity & Inclusion. - Lead safety incident investigations - Ensure all safety audits are performed and safety policies are completed - Coordinate sales strategy with PCS and Regional Sales Director - Identify and develop new PSE offers based on market trends, customer needs, and strategic focus. - Develop and manage regional shipments forecast - Review P&L monthly - Manage costs and revenue alignment - Develop and present monthly business reviews
Qualifications:
This job might be for you possess the following: - A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent leadership experience, combined with 10 years of relevant engineering and general management work experience - Location is remote, however there may be a need to visit customers throughout the West region. Travel expectation should be 25% - Financial Acumen. Must be able to clearly understand revenue recognition, margin and profitability variances. - Computer proficiency in MS Project, Office and Visio - Knowledge of contract documents and ability to clearly understand specifications - Ability to manage large teams and their activities, including sub-contractors - Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements - Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment - Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required. - Ability to self-manage, multi-task and learn new skills quickly - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Enjoy leading business transformations Desirable - Knowledge and experience in Services, technical consulting models, Power Distribution and Monitoring Systems, control/automation industry (metering, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, PLCs, drives), energy management, critical power applications - PE or other engineering certifications - Experience working in a matrix managed environment - Knowledge and/or experience of competitor products and services - Knowledge and/or training in applicable OSHA regulations.
