Under general direction of our elementary principals, serves as an educational leader and assists the principals in the planning, coordination, and directing of activities and programs related to the administration of one or more schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily with an equitable mindset.
Requirements:
Master Teacher with Valid PA K-12 Principal Certification or Elementary Principal Certification with five years of successful teaching experience.
License/Clearance(s): Act 34 - Criminal History Clearance
Act 151 - Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 114 - Federal Criminal History Record

- Assists in the leadership, supervision, safety, administration, and coordination of an Elementary School.
- Assists in the selection, orientation, assignment, evaluation, and supervision of teachers.
- Assists in developing and administering the master schedule, pupil assignment and scheduling, lunch schedule assignment, and pupil transportation logistics.
- Works to develop positive community support for the school and the District.
- Assists in curriculum development, revision, evaluation and in providing leadership to the staff.
- Maintains a commitment to ongoing growth in self and others, supporting and participating in district and site professional growth programs.
- Assists in facilitating meetings with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and special education programming.
- Relates to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective discipline policy with a restorative practices lens.
- Serves as the building principal in the absence of the principal.
- Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned by the principals.
