Position Overview
The Auditions Assistant is a new position in SAB's Auditions and Enrollment department, supporting annual recruiting efforts for the school. The department is responsible for conceiving and executing all aspects of SAB's recruiting, admissions and enrollment functions for its 10-month Winter Term, 5-week New York based Summer Course, 1-week New York Junior Session, and the non-audition based Little Dancers program for 4 and 5 year olds.

The salary range is $45,000 - $48,000 commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Auditions and Outreach, the Auditions Assistant will work closely with fellow members of the department. Professional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Auditions Support:
- Assist in the execution of SAB's 16-city National Audition Tour. Assist with onsite administrative duties at auditions, coordinate itineraries for staff and faculty, mail supplies to audition sites, and communicate with applicants. Involves extensive collaboration with SAB's marketing, database, registrar, and artistic staff. Requires travel during all weekends in January
- Assist with inputting audition results and handling other confidential information related to students and applicants as it pertains to their application and record
- Assist with SAB's annual Spring Community Auditions held in Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Lower East Side and Harlem. Communicate with applicant families and local schools and community centers with promotional materials. Requires availability to work at audition sites over several weekends in April
- Assist with SAB's on-site auditions held each spring (6-10 year olds) and fall (11-18 year olds)
- Maintain and update mailing lists for all auditions in collaboration with the Senior Manager; execute mailings for all audition initiatives with digital or print collateral
- Serve as SAB's liaison with prospective students and parents from around the world, responding to email and phone queries concerning auditions and enrollment. Maintain prospect lists and manage follow up communications with prospects for all audition and outreach initiatives
- Assist with SAB's Community Lecture Demonstration program, presented annually at venues in Queens, Brooklyn, Harlem and the Bronx. The Lecture Demonstration proceeds our annual community auditions and serves as the first touch point for local families to learn about SAB. Requires availability to work at performance venues over several weekends in March
- Maintain and update mailing lists for all outreach initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Manager; execute mailings for all audition initiatives with digital or print collateral
- Assist with tracking student program forms and working closely with the Senior Manager of Auditions and Outreach during the program to oversee and contribute to staffing needs related to the execution of the program
- Collaborates with other members of the department on outreach projects and initiatives as needed
- Outstanding organizational skills, meticulous record-keeping, ability to manage multiple projects and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to the mission and goals of SAB, interest in ballet and the arts
- Proficiency in Microsoft. Experience using database systems, mass email applications, and form data collection applications a plus
- Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills. Well-spoken and outgoing
- Able to represent the institution well to various constituencies, with the ability to work and succeed independently and as part of a team
- Available for travel and weekend work during all audition periods, including all weekends in January and April. Additional weekend travel during the month of March for Community Lecture Demonstrations. Occasional evening hours will be necessary
