What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Lecturer in Musical Theatre Movement position at School of Dramatic Arts?
The USC School of Dramatic Arts invites applications for various part-time adjunct lecturer positions to teach Jazz, Flamenco, Tap, Ballroom and Musical Theater Dance in its Musical Theater Movement area beginning January 1, 2024, and ending May 15, 2024.
We seek a collaborative, student-centered artist/scholar who can join our dynamic undergraduate Musical Theatre training program dedicated to changing the face of musical theatre training for the 21st Century. Candidates must be established artists and educators who are recognized in the field of movement/dance and/or have significant experience teaching at a collegiate level.
All candidates should submit (1) an application letter indicating interest in the position; (2) curriculum vitae including teaching experience, courses taught and developed, professional performance experience and/or choreography; and (3) names and contact information for three current professional references.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in any field or equal professional experience
Experience: 3-5 years teaching at a collegiate level
Skills: Jazz, Flamenco, Tap, Ballroom or Musical Theater Dance Education
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Dance or Related Field
Experience: 5 years teaching at a collegiate level
Skills: Mastery in Jazz, Flamenco, Tap, Ballroom or Musical Theater Dance Education
The hourly rate range for this position is $45.00 to $60.00 per hour. The USC School of Dramatic Arts, founded in 1945, is recognized internationally as a leader in theatre education.
