JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary function is to interact with and provide insider connections and excellent customer service to as many guests as possible to drive SALT scores.
- The Luxury Ambassador is present in the areas of local lifestyle-related hot-spots including hip boutiques, restaurants, galleries, design points of interest, exclusive events in the city, unique attractions and some in hotel events.
- The Luxury Ambassador is present is high traffic areas of the hotel to capture as many guest interactions as possible like hotel lobby, Lantana Bar area and the Pool Deck.
- Some of the Luxury Ambassador’s time will need to be spent outside of the hotel to build those connections and a strong network within the community so that he/she is able to have those connections with restaurants, nightlife and things to do around the city for the hotel guest to have exclusive access.
- Reviews relevant written communication-group resumes, daily event sheets, VIP arrivals, activities within the city.
- Working with the Sales and Marketing departments on their clients to see what their likes and needs are during their stay with us.
- Providing checkup all calls on all VIP's assigned to the Team.
- Connecting with Influencers that a line with our brand who has high traffic social media presence/following to bring awareness to our new Curio property while staying with us.
- Acts as key advocate for guest at all times. Communicates guest opportunities that they are made aware of during guest interactions in a timely manner to relevant departments so that the appropriate action to resolve may take place. Personally, follows up with the guest to ensure satisfaction.
- Luxury Ambassador shall work as needed and work closely with high end guests such as celebrities, dignitaries, top Sales team clients to ensure close personal attention to detail and a seamless experience but shall not dedicate 100% of their time only on this function.
- Facilitates communication between shifts so that any ongoing issues are followed up on seamlessly after their departure from the hotel by another department/individual.
- Continually inspects for cleanliness and maintenance of Lantana, Pool Deck and nearby public spaces and resolve or report any conditions requiring attention. Looking at spaces from a guest perspective.
- Looks at the CRM report daily and a week prior to see important VIP and Diamond member arrivals and prepare special arrangements/amenities if needed.
- Blocks and walks VIP guest rooms prior to arrival to ensure room cleanliness to highest standards to meet and accommodate guest expectations in addition to housekeeping manager if needed.
- Observes and enforces objectives and policies as designated by the hotel.
- Brings in revenue via Luxury Ambassador special rate code receiving 10% of the monthly revenue as an incentive. Brining in other possible revenue driven clients/business.
- Works with hotel’s Food and Beverage/Marketing departments on hotel activations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years in similar leadership role.
Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic math skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Strong leadership skills
Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
Excellent time management skills
In-depth knowledge of hotel Front Desk operations
