Position Responsibilities:
· Maintain and promote a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst coworkers through positive leadership · Sets example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and co-workers, timely response to clients and co-workers and observance of sales office standards · Responsible for learning the hotel brand and strategy · Develop a complete knowledge and ensure adherence to company sales policies and SOPs · Drive customer loyalty in order to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience · Establish and Maintain existing business clientele relationships prior to, during and post conference ensuring service exceeds expectations and encouraging repeat business · Responsible for taking groups after the contract is signed and initial deposit are collected through the entire process when there event concludes · Create BEOs and Group Resumes for all in house groups · Communicate menu selections to Food & Beverage Team in the proper time frame · Ensures all payments are collected and processed by deadline before group arrives · Work with catering manager/sales manager/director of sales to ensure understanding of department budget and goals · Conducts weekly Group Resume/BEO meetings with departments and Weekly Banquet meetings · Responsible for accuracy of BEOs/Group Resumes and communication of changes between client and appropriate departments · Ability to up sale and add on to customer experience after groups become definite · Participates in forecasting for revenue and expenses · Understand, leverage, and implement corporate and brand tools to exceed budgets · Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis to ensure proper rate positioning and product offering relative to competition · Assist in creating menus for all catering events · Responsible for managing Banquets team and Events
· Responsible for staffing/scheduling/payroll for Banquets team · Responsible for overall event success · Responsible for all client questions related to Events and making sure they are answered · Coordinate, prepare, and submit any required reports as requested by the DOS, Regional team or GM · Perform in the capacity of any position supervised · Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or Marketing (Work experience can be used in lieu of education) · Minimum of two (2) years in hotel or conference Banquets/Catering/Sales
