Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Legal Assistant for immediate hire for our client, a wonderful Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee dedicated to providing high level customer care and service for all their clients! This is an exciting Full-Time, Contract-To-Hire, Hybrid opportunity location onsite in Seattle, WA!


As the Legal Assistant, you will report to the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee and provide support with calendar management, legal documentation, and creditor/debtor inquiries.


  • RESPONSIBILITIES:File and organize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, letters, and notes related to Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases.
  • Become proficient in the assembly and organization of a Chapter 7 calendar and bankruptcy software/program.
  • Answer phone calls and provide assistance with creditor/debtor inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Maintain filing systems and calendars with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Investigate debtors online and check real property records to support case preparation.
  • Monitor and manage debtors' social media presence for relevant information.
  • Learn the bankruptcy process and procedures, including the issuance of DSO (Discharge ability of Debt) letters.
  • Familiarize oneself with Stretto, a bankruptcy administration software, and utilize its features for case management.
  • Access and navigate the portal in Stretto containing essential documents for bankruptcy cases.


  • QUALIFICATIONS:3 years of Legal Assistant experience.
  • Bankruptcy law experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Word Perfect.
  • Proficiency with Stretto Debster bankruptcy program.
  • Familiarity with Social Media.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
