Provide supervision to casework staff at RJMCC.
Responsibilities to include:
- Provide direct training, mentoring and supervision to assigned staff
- Enhance professional growth through participation in workshops, seminars and conferences regarding new trends in casework management and treatment. Must maintain continuing education requirement for continued state licensing
- Assess caseworkers’ training needs and provide planned regular instruction, supervision, support and evaluation to guide professional development and to enhance their ability to work effectively with children, families and staff.
- Attend assigned Team Meetings, Medication Reviews, and Family Team Conferences.
- Responsible for tracking, monitoring and approving the timely submission of required paperwork to include; progress notes, FASPs, Permanency Hearing reports, psychosocial assessments, and other documentation .
- Monitor, evaluate and report on staff performance.
- Create and maintain a supportive work environment, motivating and encouraging teamwork among staff.
- Ensure that the response to clients is appropriate and in keeping with agency policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and maximize the use of internal and external resources available to families and children.
- Responsible for timely entry of supervisory progress notes, and other required documentation.
- Monitor status of all court cases and ensure that all required actions are taken.
- Coordinate and oversee permanency planning for each resident and works diligently with other disciplines to see that delivery of services occurs as an integrated whole.
- Supports the RTC visiting program, including oversight of scheduling, coaching and support for caseworkers during visitation
- Respond to crisis situations.
- Demonstrate flexibility, and strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- May be assigned case coverage as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Social Services
