About The Role
Petsource is seeking a seasoned Senior HR Generalist with bilingual proficiency to support our plant operations. The successful candidate will serve as a key HR partner, overseeing all aspects of human resources within the plant, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and training. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for plant employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Foster a positive workplace culture, promoting engagement and collaboration.
- Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Lead the recruitment and selection process for plant positions, ensuring a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
- Conduct onboarding for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Partner with plant leadership to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Manage HR records and documentation, including employee files, attendance, and performance management.
- Conduct investigations as necessary, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for plant employees.
- Support leadership development initiatives within the plant.
- Ensure bilingual training materials are available and accessible to all employees.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report key HR metrics, such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
- Use data to identify trends and recommend improvements to HR practices.
- HR Projects:
- Participate in and lead HR projects that support the overall goals of the plant and the company.
- Collaborate with corporate HR on company-wide initiatives.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field highly desired. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or plant environment desired.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
