Scramble Falls Church is hiring a guest services supervisor to join our team. We are located at 130 E Fairfax Street.
As a Guest Services Supervisor on the Scramble Indoor Play team, you must be friendly, outgoing, and lead by example to provide best-in-class play experiences to children and their families. Great candidates will be enthusiastic, reliable, team-oriented self-starters excited to step into a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers multiple opportunities for personal growth and advancement. Their responsibilities include running a brilliant shift and supervising an environment for clean, safe, fun while motivating others to do the same. This position requires a high level of motivation and strong communication skills.
Compensation includes Scramble Perks such as discounted food, play, parties, and retail. Pay is based on experience and includes participation in the Scramble tipping pool.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day Front of House operations including reserved play arrivals and departures, café service, retail sales, and birthday party participation.
- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service, warmly greeting all guests, engaging them in an authentic and friendly manner leading to increased repeat customer base
- Implement all established Scramble policies and procedures including cleaning, health, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a safe and secure playing environment by reinforcing Scramble rules of play and standards throughout the day, ensuring safety of all guests, providing correction as needed in a kind but firm manner, mediating any minor conflicts between children, and addressing guest concerns effectively.
- Conduct guest transactions for play, parties, café, and retail purchases using Scramble point of sale and booking systems.
- Coordinate inventory purchasing, inventory management, and cost containment requirements necessary to ensure profitable operations.
- Demonstrate ability to adapt, improvise, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Communicate with guests (both adults and children) in a polite, positive, professional, and informed manner.
- Participate in all staff training sessions and meetings.
Qualifications
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service and exhibiting leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - communicate clearly and effectively
- Work well with children and parents
- Ability to provide excellent in-person customer service
- Proactive, demonstrating the ability to identify, address, and resolve problems as well as suggest improvements
- Responsible and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Must be able to commit to 40 hours of work a week during the hours of 8am to 6pm.
- CPR and first aid training and certification (preferred, but not required)
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s degree, or two years or more of full-time college coursework equivalent (preferred, but not required)
- At least 1-2 years of experience with childcare, teaching, or camp counseling
- Retail or food service industry experience
- Demonstrated customer service skills
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language.

Scramble is busiest on weekends and Federal holidays. Successful candidates should expect to work at least one day each weekend and multiple holidays. Scramble is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
