v The RN Clinical Mentor functions primarily as an RN with additional duties.
v Takes responsibility for assigned patients during RN relief periods.
v Works collaboratively and educationally with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
v Takes responsibility for education and guidance of Registered Nurses regarding the nursing process, critical thinking, accountability for the plan of care and its relation to patient outcomes, and communication/collaboration with all team members.
v Functions as a clinical expert, role model, mentor and resource in a designated practice area.
Experience/Specialized Skills
- Minimum three years experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Minimum two years experience in the specialty area preferred.
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Current California RN license required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
NIHHS Stroke Certification within first six months of employment required.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or the equivalent preferred.

Position Pay Range: $58.75-$83.35/hour
