The Regional Continuous Improvement Manager coordinates with Director of Continuous Improvement, Other Regional Managers, Plant Leadership and Continuous Improvement at the local level by developing and implementing systems and processes that optimize all phases of the production process (Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Productivity and Finance). Through influencing others, coaching, training, and identifying and transferring practices, the role will be responsible for driving Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and MOS structure in all production facilities. The role with implement, enhance, audit and maintain the Saputo Management Operating Structure (MOS) within the Operations function. Position is onsite at a location in CA: Tulare, Gustine or Newman up to 70% travel requirement. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter (Job Responsibilities: key tasks and assignments) … Established Project Leadership utilizing data driven approach and Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability, reduce variation, eradicate waste, and optimize performance Ability to train Identify and leverage best practices across the organization. Written and verbal communication of successes and challenges required. Support Organization’s CI objectives as directed by Director of Continuous Improvement. BB Certified or obtain Black Belt Certification and complete minimum of two Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with projected savings for the organization of >$100k annually Experience and demonstrated ability to coach on Saputo’s MOS (Management Daily System) Provide leadership in the implementation of Saputo’s MOS (Daily Management System) Experience with Kaizen events (facilitator a plus) Experience with data gathering systems (MPM) and ability to analyze data Demonstrate a Customer First approach to coaching Lean Tools, CI initiatives, and Project Development/Execution Applies financial analysis (one source of truth) to identify areas of improvement. Work cross functionally with Finance resources at various levels as needed. This includes validation and confirmation of cost savings goals on projects. Collaborates with Corporate Training and HR supporting mentoring and new hire programs on training, education programs and mentoring continuous improvement relationships across the division. Collaborate across SUSA as needed to support regional CI objectives and plant specific improvement goals. Support and Develop Facility CI managers at production locations in the Region and able to collaborate with other Regional CI Managers to achieve Company’s Objectives Mentor and support Certified Green Belts and Green Belt candidates within the division, supporting Six Sigma projects (projected savings of >$50k per year) and established processes. Support and be an active member of Continuous Improvement Committee Identify and implement standardized Efficiency KPI’s across the plants. Designs, drives and performs operational analysis of business processes. You Are Best Suited for the Role If You Have the Following Experience, Skills, and Qualifications… Preferred, Bachelor’s degree and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (or on path to obtain within 12 months) Have a minimum of 2 years plant manufacturing or process improvement experience. Have the ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint. Working understanding of SAP, SAP BI and Microsoft BI reporting platforms. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change. Proven track record of improved results in the areas of waste reduction, quality, costs, safety and service. Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees (Without direct line reporting) Travel 70%, ground and air travel.
