Purpose:
- The Parts Manager proactively manages the Company’s parts supply to enable timely service of fleet equipment. This position will take part requests, order parts, and cost code to assigned work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanics with acquiring parts
- Locate and secure parts from various vendors
- Track billing to ensure parts are cost coed to proper work order
- Help control and maintain inventory
- Maintain parts technical resources with most current information
- Read appropriate manuals to ascertain type and specification of part
- Provide pricing and product information to employees
- Dispense parts to the service department when needed
- Order out-of-stock parts
- Perform inventory counts and audits
- Meet departmental production and profitability goals
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
- Participate in required training
- Record all hours worked accurately in company’s timekeeping system
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Experience:
- 5 years of parts management experience with a focus on heavy equipment and/or drilling equipment.
- Previous parts purchasing experience preferred
- Previous heavy equipment maintenance / service experience preferred

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere
- Ability to proficiently utilize the programs with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to be a highly motivated, self-starter
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required
- PPE includes but is not limited to: hard hat, task specific safety glasses, life vest, respirators, task specific hearing protection, task specific safety shoes (steel toe or metatarsal), and /or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and may change based on the location in which the work is being completed
- Ability to walk, step, climb, and otherwise move from one location on the job site to another
- Depending on equipment in use, the chosen candidate must be able to physically get into and get out of equipment through the use of vertical mounted ladders up to and including 10’ or more in height
- Ability to visually see worksite environment and observe equipment operations (either naturally or with corrective lenses)
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and sit for long periods of time
- Ability to complete repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work
- Ability to climb vertical ladders. Working at elevated heights
- Ability to lift up to and including fifty (50) lb. objects as required
- Ability to carry up to and including fifty (50) lb. objects as required
- Ability to adapt to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to the elements
- Ability to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Licenses or Certifications:
- Valid state issued driver’s license required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
Travel:
- Travel required on an is needed basis
