Cybersecurity Engineer

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Cybersecurity Engineer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary : SEACORP has immediate need for full-time Cybersecurity professional with a Final Secret (or above) clearance based at our Newport, RI customer site as Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE). The selected applicant will perform work to assist with the design and management of DoD systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform reviews of and making recommendations to Systems Security Plan and associated cybersecurity documentation.
• Analysis, specification, and/or development of methods to certify that the systems under evaluation are properly designed and configured.
• Have a working knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to provide Summary & Impact recommendations to Program Acquisition Offices for RMF requirement compliance.
  
  

Qualifications:

Education: A technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) Bachelor of Science degree is required for this position. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and/or years of directly related experience in military systems (e.g., service aboard a naval ship or significant information systems experience) can be substituted for the Bachelor of Science degree requirement.

Must meet baseline eligibility for Cybersecurity Workforce (CWF) at the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Manager, Level I (IAM-I) and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate/Journeyman in Specialty Area 65, 67 and/or 72. An example of an industry certification meeting this requirement is CompTIA’s Security credential.

Experience : 3 years of relevant cybersecurity experience in Information Systems Programs a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
