Flooring Installer

Job Title: Floor Installer

Summary: Repairs, services, and maintains protection equipment by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Installs flooring such as carpet, vinyl plank, tile or other equipment for commercial facilities.

• Measures, cuts and uses power tools.

• Diagnoses, repairs, installs, and troubleshoots in accordance with company guidelines.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one year related experience as an install in similar field, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, and take measurements.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to diagnose complex problems and troubleshoot. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems.

Special Skills:

Mechanical skills

Ability to work with power tools equipment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• On call
• Weekend availability

Supplemental Pay:

• Signing bonus

• Flooring installation: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
