Summary: Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and
related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
? Analysis of purchasing needs by coordinating with marketing and customer
service to ensure adequate inventory of materials and products in accord with
inventory cycles and organizational philosophy;
? 5 plus years of end to end Supply Chain experience
? In-depth knowledge of importing and customs duties process
? 3 years of experience coordinating multi-level international sub-contract
manufacturing between multiple suppliers.
? Plan and forecast for future merchandise buys based on historical buys,
reoccurring buys and current inventory levels
? Planning, developing and managing a purchasing system for multiple distribution
centers
? Experience in negotiating annual direct ocean contracts and freight forwarding
services
? Responsible for administration of purchasing procedure and policies
? Work with Warehouse/Production Manager and Inventory Control Supervisor to
maintain inventory levels
? Manage and coordinate distribution of materials for production with domestic and
foreign raw material venders
? Evaluate vendors and vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable
suppliers with regard to domestic orders
? Complete special projects as assigned
? Perform related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 2 employees in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Providing a work
