Appliance Technician

Sears Home Services - West is currently seeking an Appliance Technician to join our team in Santa Maria, CA

Pay: $21.00/hour plus overtime pay is available

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 5pm; occasional weekend hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Providing timely and quality repairs of customers' products
• Maintaining high-quality customer service and care
• Promoting and selling additional products and services
• Meeting key performance metrics and/or productivity goals
• Providing knowledgeable and courteous repair service
• Looking for ways to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience
• Communicating benefits of the Value Added Services Process to the customer
• Works with schematic diagrams and reports as needed
• This is a 100% travel-based position where the majority of time is spent driving and/or in a vehicle (domestic travel)

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age for consideration

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Able to read, write, and speak English

• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record

• Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach, climb & lift/carry up to 75 lbs while accessing various interior and exterior landscapes with different levels of terrain

• Willing and able to work up to 100% travel (domestic)

• Willing and able to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed

• Mechanical experience (professional AND/OR personal experience will be considered) including the ability to use a multimeter

• 1 years of hands-on residential appliance repair experience is preferred, but general hands-on electro/mechanical experience will be considered (professional AND/OR personal experience will be considered) including the ability to use a multimeter

• Experience using Quality Management System (QMS) process guidelines, preferred
