We are looking for a competent Office Assistant for a Seawall Construction company to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Having a background working in a construction office would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Create and update leads, proposals, invoices, bills, and payments while ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
  • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
  • Coordinate with company owner to ensure compliance with established policies
  • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
  • Answering phones in friendly manner while speaking to potential/current clients.

Skills

  • Proven experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role
  • Knowledge of Google Docs/Drive
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge in Quickbooks Online is preferred but will train

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Commission pay

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred)
