You will be responsible for providing internal and external customers with order status and product availability, informing the Program Management of estimated completion dates and Level 1 product recommendations, and interfacing with the planning and production teams to ensure customer orders meet expected due dates.

We are currently looking to hire a Depot Service & Support Manager. Responsibilities:
Establish and exceed department goals through the use of Continuous Improvement. Validate improvement by participating in periodic customer service and support surveys.
- Serve as a key interface between primary functional areas such as Planning, Program Management, and Production as well as support functional areas such as Engineering, Finance and Quality to establish priorities in order to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Provide Tier One technical assistance for PM’s and customers by developing/implementing Help Desk tracking system (Tickets) to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Provide Test/Repair/Refurb status reports to PM’s - as well as customers on an as-needed basis.
- Conduct cost/pricing analysis and provides quotes within established contribution margin/profitability targets.
- Promote continuous improvement by driving Lean initiatives such as GEMBA walks and Tier Board management and maintenance for SPS products in Test, Repair/Refurb and the RBM work cells.
- Maintains the department’s RMA/SPS system and continuously improves the overall process. Examples of this include automating internal systems, bar coding, and streamlining with the existing RMA (return material authorization) process for warranty repair units.
- Develops and maintains work-flow processes for incoming material - manages incoming product shelves (labeling, LIFO, identification, and overall movements)
- Serves as a back-up to the SPS Administrator to create projects, shop orders, print Routers, and conduct contract review to make sure IFS is updated and correct.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities that can change quickly.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and databases.
- Strong understanding of operations, including continuous improvement, scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering, and quality systems.
- Relevant DoD or military experience
- General understanding of fundamentals of electronics
- BS/BA in related field or equivalent relevant experience; MS/MBA preferred
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a participative, team management approach embracing organizational empowerment.
- Strong numerical and analytic reasoning capability.
- Well-developed written and oral communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse workforce and interface with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
Work Environment:
- Office cubicle and manufacturing area
- Hours 7:30 – 5:30, 9/80 Monday through Thursday; Friday 7:30-4:30; occasional off shift hours as needed
