IT Helpdesk Technician

SecureNet

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist fiber internet subscribers with technology needs. Provide basic trouble shooting for internet connectivity problems or questions. Correct user problems and answer questions through telephone and email support. Work with other IT staff to service the technology needs of residential and commercial customers. Use inhouse ticketing system to log all calls and related work requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Answer inbound support calls
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with internet connectivity
  • Use ticketing system to log all calls and related work requests.
  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of small network connectivity and Wi-Fi troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to work independently and collegially with little supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to approach problems and people in a professional manner
  • Ability to work in a developing and changing technology environment
  • Customer service oriented
  • Highly motivated and a team player
  • Ability to be on-time
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various customers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or comparable certifications or related work experience of at least 1 year required. A certification a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
